What is called Learning Disability?
Some individuals despite having an average or high average intelligence but they find some difficulties in reading, writing or mathematical operations to which they find a real difficulty acquiring basic academic skills. These difficulties might be a result of Learning Disability.
How many types of Learning Disabilities are there?
There were three types of Learning Disabilities. They were:
Reading Difficulties (Dyslexia)
Writing Difficulties (Dysgraphia)
Difficulty with mathematics (Dyscalculia)
What is Dyslexia?

Reading Difficulty:
It is a language based disability in which people have a trouble understanding written words.
What is Dysgraphia?
Writing Difficulty:
It is a language based disability in which person have trouble expressing languages in a written form.
What is Dyscalculia?
Arithmetic difficulty:
It is a mathematical disability in which children have trouble solving arithmetic problem and understanding math concepts.
What is a difference between learning disability and learning disorder?
Learning Disorders are caused by physical or mental disabilities. Learning Disabilities is difficulty in reading, writing, spelling, math, and other such skills. It is caused as the brain cannot process information correctly. It is not caused by cultural, environmental, or economic factors.
Is it easy to figure out if your child has a Learning disability?
Learning Disabilities cannot be diagnosed medically. There is no medical test to determine the same. And hence there are no medicines that one can pop to cure it. Actually, there is no cure for a Learning Disability.
What is Remedial Education?
The Remedial Education is an instructional program designed for children who have identified deficiencies in reading, writing, and math. Remedial Educator provides Individualized Educational Programme (IEP) that will help child in the areas of reading, writing and mathematics.
Why a child does require a remedial education?
There are a number of reasons why a student might need remedial education. Some students attend schools of poor quality, and don't receive adequate grounding in math and language to prepare them for college or life. Other students may have transferred in and out of schools or missed school a lot, creating gaps in their education which contribute to lack of knowledge in core subjects. Students may also have learning disorders and other issues which have impaired their ability to learn.
