Ms Samindara Sawant

Samindara specializes in psycho-diagnostics and clinical assessments and has considerable experience in child, adolescent, marriage as well as family psychotherapy. She works with equal ease with relationship challenges among various populations. Samindara has extensive experience in conducting workshops and training and has worked with various populations like students, parents, employees, teachers and so forth. She is also experienced in competency mapping, assessment and development centres, performance management, competency development, psychometric test development and so forth.

Samindara believes in using an integrated and holistic approach in her therapy practice, using tools and strategies from various modalities to give comprehensive therapeutic solutions to her clients.

Her second book, ‘Keep Going’, co-authored with Anil Thomas, has been published in September 2020. Ms Anuradha Prabhudesai

A counselling psychologist from the University of Mumbai, Anuradha is a founder member of Disha Counseling Center. She has over 26 years of experience in counselling and psychotherapy. She focuses on adult psychotherapy and student counseling and uses various modalities in a client centered approach. Over the years, she has equipped herself with various tools and techniques and utilises principles of REBT, Transformational Family Therapy, Gestalt Therapy in an eclectic and integrated manner. Anuradha is well renowned for her expertise in vocational guidance and career counseling, and spearheads the career guidance programme at Disha. Anuradha is the creator of Disha's comprehensive career database, which profiles careers and courses across India. She is often solicited to give career information talks and hold career planning workshops at various esteemed educational institutions across the city of Mumbai. Anuradha has written articles on careers and career choices, as well as responded to career queries on various leading publications such as Hindustan Times, Education Times.

Anuradha is also experienced in conducting psychometric evaluations and assessments. She is a certified MBTI & 16PF Professional and also coordinates the psychometric assessment vertical at Disha, Psychometrica. Developing Customized Psychometric Tests for Organisations is a keen area of interest for her and she has done so for various organisations.

Ms Shital Ravi

As a counseling psychologist, Shital has worked extensively with children, adolescents and adults. She has been the visiting psychologist for R.A. Podar College, SIES Commerce College, and D.G. Ruparel College. She has conducted many workshops in various educational institutes such as Walia College, MCC College, Parle Tilak Vidyalaya, and the IIT Mumbai for students, teachers as well as parents. She has won National titles like ‘Singar Mani’ and ‘Natyamayuri’, is a graded artiste of the Doordarshan, and the recipient of the prestigious “Central Government Scholarship” awarded by the Dept. of Cultural Affairs, Govt. of India.

Leaning towards ‘seva bhava’, Shital co-founded Saaraakassh Trust in 2015, working for the betterment of tribal lives in Maharashtra focusing on Education, Health & Mental Health and Sanitation. One main initiative undertaken is “Pudchi Peedhi, Pudcha Paaul” which literally means ‘the next step of the next generation’, which uses story-telling, dance, music, games, role play and many other activities to build better life skills in the tribal children for a better & Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Ms Sukhada Kelkar

A Counselling Psychologist from the University of Mumbai, Sukhada has a rich and versatile experience of 14 years in the field of counseling and psychotherapy. She is passionate about working with children, teens, young adults and adults, as well as parent-teacher populations needing support and counseling. Sukhada is actively involved in conducting individual and group therapy sessions and has considerable experience in running support groups for differently-abled population. Having been trained in myriad therapeutic modalities viz. play therapy, metaphor therapy, behaviour modification strategies as well as REBT, she believes in practising a client-centered and eclectic approach while helping clients. Ms Poonam Ghadikaonkar

Poonam has specialized in counseling psychology from Mumbai University and has a post graduate diploma in counseling from SIES College. Poonam has an empathetic nature, and a natural talent for one-to-one counseling. Poonam specializes in handling children and family related concerns. Her experience ranges from conducting workshops with parents, teachers, employees and students on wide ranging issues in the area of mental health.

Poonam has been a counselor with Disha Counseling Center since 2004, and has been handling the role and responsibility of center manager for the past 10 years. Other than workshops and personal counseling, Poonam has extensive experience in psychometric assessments (including aptitude, intelligence, personality assessments) for students and professionals. She has also been part of Disha’s School College Mental Health programme, and has offered mental health services to various educational institutes such as Kendriya Vidyalaya, School for Remedial Education, Reach School and so forth.

An active member of Disha’s Career Guidance Cell, Poonam offers vocational guidance to various students, both in Disha, as well as in educational institutes such as SIES College, Ruparel College, H.J College, Children’s Orthopedic Center (COH), Podar College of Commerce and so forth. Poonam also handles the corporate social welfare workshops (CSR) for Disha, which focus on providing study skills and life skills development workshops in English, Hindi and Marathi for underprivileged students. Poonam’s strengths include good communication skills, facility in conducting workshops in regional languages such as Marathi and Hindi, sensitivity and a non-judgmental attitude which results in clients feeling at ease and relaxed with her.
