Samindara specializes in psycho-diagnostics and clinical assessments and has considerable experience in child, adolescent, marriage as well as family psychotherapy. She works with equal ease with relationship challenges among various populations. Samindara has extensive experience in conducting workshops and training and has worked with various populations like students, parents, employees, teachers and so forth. She is also experienced in competency mapping, assessment and development centres, performance management, competency development, psychometric test development and so forth.

Samindara believes in using an integrated and holistic approach in her therapy practice, using tools and strategies from various modalities to give comprehensive therapeutic solutions to her clients.

Samindara has often been invited to write on mental health, parenting, and other related topics for well-known magazines and newspapers such as The Times of India, Mid-Day, Classroom, and Complete Wellbeing as well as regional newspapers like Maharashtra Times and Lokmat. She has been an honorary expert columnist on marital counselling for the portal www.rediff.com and has several articles on this portal. She is the author of 'Taming the Tornado: A Parent Manual to Manage the ADHD Child', which was published in April 2011. Her second book, ‘Keep Going’, co-authored with Anil Thomas, has been published in September 2020. Samindara is also a senior psychometrician for the online psychometric assessment portal, www.psychometrica.in, and is engaged in test development and other aspects of psychometric assessments. She is also the resource room head at Bhaktivedanta Swami Mission School and has spear-headed and managed inclusive education and counselling at the school for the last 25 years.
